Product Details:

Industrial Tube mill (Straight Edge Technology) mainly consists of strip preparation, pipe forming, welding, cooling, sizing straightening, pipe cut-off unit and pipe take off unit. A forming motor of and a sizing motor and power transmission is done by worm gear boxes drives the whole machine. The strip first requires leveling and straightening which is done by passing the strip through strip leveler, pinch rolls and guide rolls. After this, the strip is passed through various forming rolls where the strips are converted into open seam pipe. Then it reaches the welding unit where the edges of the open seam tube is heated by hf induction generator (or any other welding equipment). Immediately after heating, the edges of the pipe are forged (fused) in the squeezing unit and it takes the shape of complete pipe. After welding, the welding portion is scrapped by bead scrapping unit then the tube is cooled in cooling jacket. For making it exact round the pipe is passed through sizing unit and then through turks head for straightening. After this the tube is cut into required length by a moving cutting machine and pushed to take off table.

A slitting line will create multiple widths or “mults” from a wider master coil. The mults are made from predetermined widths. The slitter consists of three main parts: an uncoiler, slitter, and recoiler. The material is fed from the uncoiler, through the nip between the two circular cutting wheels (one on top and another underneath), and then re-wound in slit mults on the recoiler. The slitting process has been referred to as part art and part science. It is important that the equipment supplier and end user work in concert so the proper components, arbor size, tooling package, horsepower and tensions are suitable for the material to be slit.

A slitting line produces longitudinal cuts in a master coil of steel to predetermined narrower widths. These smaller coils or “mults” are then sent to downstream operations such as metal stampers, tube producers or roll forming houses that will use the material in their final product. An ASP slitting line will accommodate from 500 mm to 2500 mm wide, 5 ton to 35-ton capacity coils and from 0.3 to 10.5 mm thick material. Depending on the material thickness and yield strength, speeds from 40 to 120 Meter per minute can be obtained.
